About Katie

Hello friends! Katie would like to welcome you to her website, her heart, and her home. (Edit: Katie said I’m not allowed to just ‘invite random people to her home.’)

Originally from Sacramento, Katie is an LA based actress, writer, comedian, and singer/songwriter. When she’s not doing “artsy stuff”, you can find her hanging out with her clown husband (he prefers comedian) and prehistoric tabby cat, Schmeow. Katie also enjoys reading sexy fairy books and shape-shifter romances about a wolf and a fingerling potato (Edit: Katie insists this is a real book and was surprisingly good) All I Want for Christmas is a Fingerling.

Katie’s Christmas romance film, A Vineyard Christmas, is available to stream on Paramount Plus, Peacock, Prime Video, Freevee, and Pluto TV. Her other commisioned features, How to Marry Your Niece’s Nanny and Chaperoning Christmas may or may not ever get made! And that, folks, is the entertainment industry in a nutshell.

Katie is currently shopping out other holiday films, a female-driven stoner comedy feature, and two fantasy-comedy TV shows Witches (co-write with Amy Maestri) and “Elves in a Tree Stump” (co-write with Jessie Sherman).

Katie’s other recent credits include: writing & starring in the FunnyOrDie Originals “What’s The Deal?” showcasing Katie’s uncanny Jerry Seinfeld impression, starring in the Comedy Central sketch show Brief and Futile Love Stories, and regularly appearing on Fox Sports Sunday 45: (like this Scary Movie spoof).

In 2018, Katie helped re-write the original musical, "Mannequin Man by Day, Tenor by Night,” which debuted at the El Portal Theatre. Katie completed the entire The Groundlings Theatre program and thank GOD, because now she is finally funny (and is the proud owner of over 100 wigs!) Katie is also an alumni of The Second City, where she performed in main stage reviews and participated in the Second City Directing Program.

Some of her other accomplishments include co-writing & co-starring in the web series “Terrible HR” and “The Assignment” (whose series channel amassed over 3 million views!)

Skipping back through time, Katie’s one-woman musical, This Life Chose Me: A Ninja Musical performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013, where she received a Fringe Top Pick from WhatsOnStage. Other fun tid-bits? Katie was previously a host of the SNL after show on the AfterBuzzTV Network where she helped dissect sketch comedy.
